About Me

I was born in the classy, beautiful city of Las Vegas in the year 1994 to two wonderful parents who gave me the name that forever afterwards I would be called. Alina Lauren.  I was blessed with two younger brothers and many pet birds.

At a young age I began dance classes and found that it was my true passion.  I did ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, etc.. I even tried belly dancing!  Fact is, I loved being on stage and I've learned to love the impersonation of emotions that take place in a piece of choreography.  This encouraged me to explore the arts even more.

Around the age of 11 my parents told me I had to choose an instrument.  Any instrument.  But I had to learn to play something.  I chose the harp.  They've learned to love my decision over time; however, in the beginning they were VERY hesitant.  Since then I've learned to play the piano and invested in a new guitar which will also be loved.  After learning to play piano I started a young women's choir in my church and we performed many numbers over the course of a year and I learned to love to sing as well.

I am also a dreamer.  I'm constantly dream.  I have a new dream every night.  This sparked my creativity and before I knew it I was writing file after file of book ideas, character profiles, and plot-lines which I hope to someday release to an audience!

After years of being obsessed with the arts I entered college.  I am now studying Dance Production which I absolutely love.  We learn about stage sets, costuming, and lighting as well as business aspects of the dance world.  One class in particular has been a favorite of mine.  It was an art class I was required to take to help me understand vision in design.  I can now say that I have officially begun drawing.  I love it!  I never thought I could do it.

So you may be asking.. why write a blog?

Well, why not?

Writing releases my tensions of the day and I feel like I'm getting something out there to the world that someone in the world might need.  Inspiration, or understanding.  Some of us just need to know that there are other average people walking the earth with us.

Hopefully over time I will have more to offer my readers, but until then I hope you can enjoy the little I have to present to you.

Alina Lauren
